Disclaimer of Liability and Conditions of Use – Architectural & Interior Documentation
This disclaimer applies to the purchase and use of any architectural plans, building documentation, interior detail drawings, finishes and fixtures schedules, or other design-related documentation (collectively, the “Design Documents”) made available for sale by The Designory Pty Ltd (“The Designory”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using any of the Design Documents, you (“the Customer” or “you”) acknowledge and agree to the following conditions:
1. Conceptual and Informational Use Only
The Design Documents are intended for inspiration and reference purposes only. They are not certified construction documents and must not be relied upon as complete, compliant, or fit for construction, submission, approval, or execution in their existing form.
These documents have been created for our internal projects and are specific to our own design and construction processes, sites, materials, consultants, and local regulations at the time of use. They are not intended to be used “as is” for any other site, project, or client.
2. No Liability or Warranty
The Designory makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees—express or implied—about the accuracy, completeness, safety, suitability, regulatory compliance, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Design Documents.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Designory disclaims all liability for any loss, damage, injury, expense, or claim arising out of or in connection with:
Any reliance on or use of the Design Documents;
Any modification or adaptation of the documents by third parties;
Any construction or design outcome based on the documents;
Any misinterpretation or misuse of the content by unqualified persons.
You assume full responsibility for all risks, costs, and consequences related to the use of the Design Documents.
3. Professional Review & Certification Required
The Design Documents must not be used for construction or submitted for development approval until:
They have been reviewed, adapted, and signed off by a qualified professional such as a licensed architect, building designer, draftsperson, structural engineer, or registered practitioner;
All necessary checks for compliance with current local and national building codes, planning regulations, environmental considerations, and site-specific requirements have been carried out;
The documents have been modified to suit the specific needs and conditions of your project site.
You acknowledge that it is your sole responsibility to engage appropriate professionals to verify and finalise the Design Documents for your intended use.
4. No Representation, Attribution or Endorsement
Under no circumstances may any final set of construction drawings, tender packages, marketing materials, or project documentation:
Credit The Designory as the designer, author, or contributor;
Reference The Designory’s brand name, logo, identity, or intellectual property;
Imply that The Designory has been involved in the design, certification, or delivery of the project;
Be used in a way that associates The Designory with the built outcome or project delivery.
All attribution, copyright references, and identifying features of The Designory must be removed prior to any third-party use of the modified plans.
5. Intellectual Property
All Design Documents are the intellectual property of The Designory and are licensed to you for personal, one-time use only. They may not be resold, repurposed, redistributed, sublicensed, published, or used for commercial gain without written permission from The Designory.
Unauthorised reproduction, copying, or use of the documents beyond the terms outlined here will constitute a breach of copyright and may result in legal action.
Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing, downloading, or using any Design Documents from The Designory, you:
Confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Disclaimer in full;
Acknowledge that you are solely responsible for ensuring all appropriate professional oversight is undertaken;
Release The Designory from all claims, actions, liabilities, and damages associated with the use of the documents.
If you do not accept these terms, you must not download, share, use, or rely on the Design Documents.
